Copycat Air Fryer Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme
If you love Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme but are unsure about the ingredients in their menu items or want to make a healthier version, this copycat Taco Bell recipe is for you. By making simple swaps like using organic, pasture-raised ground beef and fresh ingredients, you can enjoy the same delicious taste at home!
Background on the Recipe
I used to go to Taco Bell every single Wednesday before youth group back in high school. I would look forward to the Crunchwrap Supreme every time. This was almost 20 years ago, so I'm sure the ingredients were different, and I don't remember feeling groggy after eating it! However, I wouldn't necessarily go to Taco Bell now. I am not sure what ingredients are in their menu items. I am also confident that it wouldn't taste as good as it did 20 years ago! However, I loved those Crunchwrap Supremes, so I needed to make my own homemade Crunchwrap Supremes at home.
Swaps I Made
I used organic, pasture-raised ground beef, which is such high quality & tastes really great.
I cook the beef in avocado oil, which is an anti-inflammatory oil. I also sprayed avocado oil on either side of the crunch wrap to make it super crispy!
I used organic lettuce and tomato.
I am not gluten-free, but if you are, you could use a gluten-free burrito and a gluten-free tostada shell.
I made a flavorful chipotle crema that goes on the inside to pack the flavor and spice.
I used an organic shredded cheese.
Optional Add-Ins
Scallions, for extra flavor
Chopped jalapenos for some spice
Salsa, if you like salsa

How to Make Copycat Air Fryer Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme
To make the taco meat:
Bring the ground beef to room temperature by letting it sit on the counter for 10 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 teaspoon of avocado oil. Once heated, add your ground beef.
Break it apart and let it brown while mixing it for about 10 minutes.
Once it’s all brown, add the taco seasoning. You can be as generous as you want with it, add spice, add salt, add anything you like!
To make the chipotle crema:
Mix together the mayo, juice of 1 lime, chili powder, and salt. Whisk it together until it’s smooth.
Taste to make any adjustments needed.
Assemble:
Take 1 large tortilla, and cut it into 4’s. Just slice it halfway and again the other way, creating 4 equal triangles. Set that aside.
To assemble, place the burrito on a large cutting board. Add about ¼ cup - ⅓ cup ground taco meat, then a few tablespoons of shredded cheese on the center of each tortilla.
Next layer on the hard shell tostada and smear on about 1 tablespoon of sour cream on the tostada evenly.
Finish with a sprinkle of shredded lettuce, tomato and a drizzle of the chipotle crema.
Place the triangle tortilla right on the center.
Fold over the tortilla edges to close up the tortilla on all sides.
Spray the top with the cooking spray evenly, then place face down right into the air fryer.
Air fry at 380 Fahrenheit for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Once finished, both sides will be golden brown.
Lay it on a cutting board to rest for a few minutes, then slice it in half.
Enjoy!
