If you don't live close to an In-N-Out, I'm going to show you how to make the animal-style fries at home. With just a handful of ingredients and a few minutes of your time, you'll have the most delicious appetizer on your dinner table or just enjoy it as the perfect snack. These homemade fries are just as good as the real thing at the fast food restaurant! 

What Are In-N-Out Animal Style Fries? 

In-N-Out animal style fries are a popular secret menu item at the famous fast-food chain In-N-Out Burger. They are a delicious twist on regular fries with a secret sauce, melted cheese, and grilled onions.

Copycat In-N-Out Animal Style Fries Ingredients

  • 24 oz bag of frozen French fries

  • ½ white onion, diced

  • 1 tsp avocado oil or olive oil

  • A few slices of American cheese

  • ⅓ cup mayo

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 2 tbsp relish

  • 2 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

 
 

How to Make Copycat In-N-Out Animal Style Fries

  1. Bake frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet at 425F for 25 minutes or according to the package instructions.

  2. Saute diced onion in oil on medium heat for 10 minutes. 

  3. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, and vinegar until smooth. 

  4. Once the fries are done cooking, add slices of cheese on top and put them back in the oven for 3 minutes to melt the cheese.

  5. Finish the golden brown fries with onions, then drizzle with the tangy spread sauce!
