Air Fryer Lemon Chicken Ingredients

  • 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

  • 1 lemon, zested, then juiced

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make Air Fryer Lemon Chicken

Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the chicken.

Cut the chicken breasts into thin slices lengthwise, or use a meat mallet to pound them thin. 

Dry the chicken slices with a paper towel, and then season evenly with salt and pepper on both sides. This step is crucial for getting tender, juicy chicken! 

In a mixing bowl, coat the chicken slices with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil, ensuring they are well-covered.

Place the chicken slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not crowded. Cook for 6 minutes, flip the slices, and cook for an additional 6 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

While the chicken is cooking, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add lemon zest and lemon juice to the pan, allowing it to deglaze. Remove from the heat.

Once the chicken is cooked in the air fryer, transfer it into the skillet and coat the chicken with the delicious lemon garlic sauce.  

Transfer it to a serving dish. Pour the prepared lemon-garlic mixture over the chicken slices.
